Family Empowerment Coalition
An 12 year-old partnership of 11 non-profit agencies, the Family Empowerment Coalition (FEC) formed to streamline the process through which needy families receive assistance. The goal is to provide a central site which coordinates all the services provided by the participating agencies. This "one stop shopping" concept provides families access to all the services they need at a much faster rate.
The mission of the Family Empowerment Coalition is to provide a seamless continuum of services to under-served, at-risk families to ensure that children enter school ready to learn, that youth grow up healthy and confident, and that parents provide a safe, nurturing environment.
