Project UpLift
| An Adopt-A-Family program since 1995, Project UpLift provides case management, advocacy and financial assistance for up to three months to families who are experiencing a situational crisis, such as job layoff, illness or divorce, putting them at risk of homelessness. |

Tyshon, Fred and their three children are a typical, middle-class family. Both work full time - mom is an administrative assistant for the Florida State Legislature and dad is a shipping manager. This summer, after paying for the children's summer camp, they realized that they were overextended and unable to pay their rent and utilities for the month. The family received one-time rent and utility assistance from Adopt-A-Family through Project UpLift, and they have already started saving up for summer camp next year.
