Community Back to School Bash August 8, 2009 For 15 years, the Community Back to School Bash, Inc. (Bash) has given local children, classified as “vulnerable” in the human services system, the opportunity to begin school with new supplies so they have the tools they need to learn. In 2008, the Bash provided school supplies to 8,535 children. This by-invitation-only event for clients of participating member agencies offers an opportunity for children to exercise the ability to make choices for themselves, as they often have none.  At the event, children are paired with personal shoppers to select grade-appropriate items such as pencil boxes, backpacks, notebooks, etc. Participating Organizations: 211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc.
